VIC – New requirements for plant and equipment incident notification

New requirements for Incident notification for plant and equipment under OHS Regulations and the Equipment (Public Safety) Regulations 2017 (EPS Regulations) commenced July 2024.
Under OHS Regulations more types of plant now require notification if there is an incident of collapse, overturn, failure, malfunction or damage that exposes a person to imminent or immediate serious risk to their health or safety. The language in the EPS Regulations is now aligned with the wording used in the OHS Regulations. These changes make it clearer when notification is required.
